Clearbit Website Redesign
Overview
Clearbit designs APIs to help businesses grow. Clearbit had two goals for the redesign. They wanted to take a more visual and organized approach to describe their services. Secondly, they wanted to push customer testimonials.
Through my employer, Wrecking Ball Studio & Labs (an advertising agency), I was tasked as the Lead Designer for this project.
Problems
Take a look at their old design. It looked like a time capsule from 2003. It suffered from a poor user experience. It was confusing, it was not easy to explore, their services weren't clear, and it lacked all modern accessibility standards.
Opportunity
The site should have an enhanced user experience through updated information, improved site navigation, and a more visually appealing design. Most importantly, the site should comply with modern accessibility standards.

Early Design
For the first design, I illustrated a series of graphics. I dedicated the bulk of the layout to explaining the company's services in a brief, visual manner.
Final Design
After a series of client briefings, we decided to go in a more hard selling direction. The illustrations were toned down. I replaced the hero banner with the customer acquisition form. The explanation of services was moved to dedicated pages. The only parts I did not design were the Resources section (it's a pre-built Wiki) and a few of the Integrations, which lead to separate websites.
I created these comps in Sketch. Upon completion, I forwarded my work to the web developers for the development phase. I assisted in some of the development. I wanted to ensure my designs were pieced together faithfully on the front end.
My design of their site was published and live for several years until 2018 when they redesigned it again.
